    IMR Hi-Skor 700X powder

It's certainly not my favorite, being such a pain to measure/meter, but I have a really dumb question. I see it used in handgun and rifle loads, but the rifle charges are really really small, 5 grains or so - why? I should know this one...

Sometimes you want a really light plinker load, and small charges of fast burning shotgun and pistol powders work well.

If the charge was too big the pressures would be too. 700x is too fast to use in large quantities, it is a great target load shotgun and pistol powder though.

Thanks, just curious. Always something else to learn.
