Anybody searching for Fenn's gold?

I can't quit thinking about it. That crazy poem keeps repeating in my head. I will quit thinking about it for a while, then some little thing happens and back I go to daydreaming. Too bad I live in Michigan and not the Rockies, otherwise I would be out treasure hunting right now. My kids are even excited about it and want to take a family vacation next summer to go check out a spot we think the gold may be hidden. Forrest Fenn, just google it if you haven't heard of what he did yet.

they are only covered in about 6' of snow so far, but come on out and have look around.

If you're going to search the Rockies . . . you might have better luck just going to the end of a rainbow . . . the Rockies are pretty big!

I think the idea of "treasure hunting" is something that most of us have thought about . . some of us more than others! It has always intrigued me. A number of years ago, my wife bought me a nice metal detector for my birthday. I have had a lot of fun with it. I've found some pretty nice roofing nails, some can tabs and even a penny! From the date on it, I'm sure it must have been one I dropped as a kid! LOL

You go for it though . . . never been one to dash a man's dreams . . . and you never know, you just might find it! That's what life's all about . . . dreams and making 'em come true!

The ole guy has given out additional clues since 2010 but I seriously doubt someone just hiking, climbing or "exploring" an area is going to come across it by happenstance. His last clue this past January stating the chest is wet, would probably indicate the treasure is located in New Mexico unless Montana, Wyoming and Colorado hadn't froze up yet in January. Give it a shot, as it'll make for a great family vacation either way it turns out.

Myself, I'd put a GPS tracker on the guy's vehicle and see where he goes during the year, as most people who hide something precious, usually will drive by the area every now and again.

The gold is being made by the people selling maps, directions, gps devices and maybe even a few guides taking people to different areas.....lol.

Seems pretty straight to me that the chest was under water.

It talks about a canyon, so that water is moving and none to clear. Chest could be quite shallow.

So likely south, but could be outside of yellowstone for that matter.

Yep, that is the one I saw on the boob tube very recently. now the pirate Lafitte's treasure has never been found. No snow down here but the snakes and gators more than make up for the snow. Frank

I too think it is somewhere near Yellowstone. Perhaps Fenn's gold is not a burried treasure, but a way to get people excited about going exploring again. I know it sure has rekindled a little youthful wonder in me.
