I have a 129 year old 1873 Winchester in 38-40. The bore is very rough despite every attempt at cleaning, rust removal (electrolysis), etc. So what are my options for a barrel liner and who will do it for a reasonable price? Is this a task a savvy, non-gunsmith machinist could handle?
