I just did all sorts of tests, including going back to Java 7. No luck.

I see this in the web page for the chat script:

I'm not a scripter, but if we have someone who is, maybe you can suggest the fix for this.......

I have done all of the same testing Duke to no avail...
The owners of this site/server, and the host of the chat server need to get involved and get the server side of things updated and working correctly.

Works on Ipad. Exact reason I didn't use Java or MS hijack of Java, breaks easy and non-secure.

I inquired about the chat issue, and apparently there is a compatibility issue between Java and our server software. I was assured that they are working on the issue, and are hopeful to have it resolved soon.

Same for me buddy. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon. I guess some of us didn't realize even if it's only once a week (or 3 times a day) we visit chat, we sure do enjoy (and miss) it.

I have to admit, I've been wondering if there was an upgrade of sorts in progress for those with "smart phones". Guess those phones aren't all that smart after all. Of course I could be 100% wrong, but it has played into my thoughts about what is going on.

This may not be far off Marc.I have no clue either but,It might be a mix of the old and the new that is causing the problem.It use to take a lot longer for things to be out of date in the tech world now days it is not long at all.

We are working it but until an update for JAVA is available for our software we are kind of stuck in the mud. Hopefully it won't be too long.
