can we revert to the old software until such a time as java and the new software play well together?

Just got off the phone with Robert. I delighted with the efforts behind the scene.

Behind the scenes things like this happen all the time. We are pretty good at keeping everything running correctly which makes what you see / experience on the front side seamlessly smooth but sometimes a problem comes along and the fix is not so easy. Willy is very good at what he does and I have the utmost confidence he will have a safe, stable solution in the near future. Until then we suffer together.

Still working my way through, the cold weather is coming and now with knowing a five may be in there I'll have to spend some more time in the recliner
Sorry about the chat room everyone. It's a work in progress! Hopefully the developers of our chat room will get their software issues sorted out. I am searching for an easy alternative until we get it back up and running but I haven't found a suitable one yet. In the works though!
The chat people finally released a patch and got it fixed so the chat room should be operational! Sorry for the long delay
I got on this morning... was nice to visit with all my buddies over coffee....
Thanks Robert and Willy for getting this taken care of.

I just tried updating my Java and Firefox. Now I get the spinning beach ball of death when I try to click in the chat. Looks like I'll be trying to roll back to a previous version of Java again.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? (Sgt. Oddball, KELLY'S HEROES)

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
It's definitely between Java and the chat software. I rolled back to an old version of Java and I get right in. I think Java 8 update 45 was the one that stopped working with chat. I found an old install file to roll back to update 40 back then and held onto it, so it was fairly easy to revert back to the old version.
I hate running an old version of Java, but I also hate not being able to get into the chat.
