I am looking forward to your test results. I am considering that exact bullet from Tom but in a dual cavity.

Sized at .360" it should be good in my 1894C.

Cool mold! I got him to make the 36-162V, for my .357s. Because I wanted to try a nice fat 81% meplat, I wanted a consistent dropping .360 boolit that was the same weight as my 357446 (162gr) which usually drops .3575, and I also didn't like the bevel base on the Lee SWC mold.

Tom makes wonderful molds and does so quickly even with custom designs.

I just wish he could make round nose and spire point designs too! If he ever does I doubt I will buy many molds from elsewhere.

I have steel molds made for my Master Caster machine at Accurate Molds.

The bullet shape I design in SolidWorks to verify the weights of the cast bullet.

Tom then makes the molds from steel that will fit into the Master Caster Machine.

The hardware to mount the mold I purchase from Magma Engineering.

The molds from Tom always work great in the Master Caster Machine.

Are you sure they are "steel" and not

"Ductile Iron is the most durable of the commonly used mold metals. It is easier to maintain a more consistent temperature. It is lighter weight than brass and heavier than aluminum. Its biggest disadvantage is propensity to rust. Iron is rough on delicate boring tools, and thus it is the most expensive."

They maybe Ductile Iron, I do not know the material, they look the same as the molds from Magma Engineering.
I call them Steel since they are not Brass or Aluminum.

Tom did excellent work for me for a custom 12 ga mold for zinc slugs. I was even more impressed when I sent it back (my guesstimates for zinc shrinkage was off) and he was able to enlarge it by .004. He is a superb craftsman.

I love my 314-105C aluminium mold. It won't be my last one from Accurate.

I have seen his molds before. Can't wait to order mine from him as soon as I feel a little less poverty stricken. I have been looking at his 338 cal 270 gr mold but I have been reading the letters of Elmer Keith where he wrote so highly of a 300 gr in a 338 WM.

What handles do you guys find work best with his molds, the Lee's or the RCBS ones? I tried multiple Lee handles and found lockup not as tight as I would like. I just ordered some RCBS handles to try out with his mold. Do any other quality handles work with his molds?

I have a 3 cav brass that works well with Lee handles, but my 4 cav brass mold likes rcbs better. Neither are a perfect fit, I was thinking of using a set of small washer to get a perfect fit.

I'm looking at the 46-290E for my henry 45LC carbine. Works well with the Lee 160RF.
