    barnes expander sgs 1 oz sabots

    anyone know anything about them i was given 6 boxes have load data for 3 loads with the slugs in the box are they any good

    Are you talking about the federal branded sabot slugs with Barnes exp slugs?

    no i have the the barnes slugs with sabots from barnes 10 to a box 12ga 1oz expander sgs slugs for reloading they are unloaded

    They worked very well in my Mossberg 500 rifled barrel. I used the data that came in the box. Don't remember which powder I used now. I asked Barnes tech guy about other powders and more velocity. He told me that the sabotage design worked best at a very specific velocity for consistent release. It did work indeed. 3 Shot groups ran 2.5 inches at 100 yards. I took a big doe with them at 125 yards and a 5 point at near point blank. Both slugs peeled open and cut big would channels. Sadly, Barnes no longer sells these slug packages.
