I need a screw for my belt

What the heck kind of screw am I looking for ??

I don't know how to call it or how to get one,
It's the kind that keeps the belt together after the buckle is put on.

One part screws into the other part, The belt is a tad less than 1/4" thick when folded over.

I only need 1 or 2 so I don't want to have to order a gross of them.

    Help me out here,

    Thanks

    Sam

It's a binding post, or Chicago screw.... but I don't know where you'd buy just one or two. You can probably find small packs around $4 or $5 though... not too bad.

Beagle is right. Chicago Screw. Look at the local hardware store or leather shop, maybe shoe repair shop. JW

Chicago screws are a common commodity at most office supply stores. If you have a "Staples" or "Office Depot" or similar store in your area, they should have these in both brass and aluminum, also with the female post in various lengths. I'm not sure whether they call them a Chicago screw (the name I have always known them called) or a binding post. Simply describe the item to a clerk, they should be able to take it from there.

I think that is on the list of things "junior sells" and last I knew his daughter was keeping things going. Jean rivets were also on that list.

If you don't already have some, or have some headed your way, PM me your address and I will send you a half dozen. Great for belts, rifle slings, or any kind of leather strap or tie-down. They are handy to have around and I probably have 200 or more.

Let me know if I can help. Hope you and the missus are doing well and ready for the winter!
