Here z one that comes with a 45° mirror but diameter is 7mm = .276", so it would exclude a lot of the smaller calibers

Got to have one of those. Off to E-Bay I go!
I also bought one of these cameras from e-bay, but can't get it to work.
I plugged it into my laptop with Win7 and downloaded the disc ok, but I can't get the thing to open up.
The task bar that should appear doesn't! The camera led's light up but that's all I get.
Any help/guidance most gratefully received, but please keep it simple!

This is kind of like giving your gun a colonoscopy. Checking for polyps; or in this case, pitting and such.
This would make you guys that do this a, Guntroenterologist.

Most of the USB scopes software is unsupported by the MAC However as you may know with a MAC you don't need no stinking software! It is all built in.
There is a built in .app called photo booth. Plug in any usb camera like device and it will work. I got a little more expensive one ( Endoscope) off Amazon and of course the software was unsupported however I did a search on Google "how to use a USB endoscope with a MAC" and found out it was native software built into to the system

I bought one and had a bit of trouble with the quick link. Once I did a 'drag & drop', everything works fine.
My computer didn't like whatever was on the disk. It loaded it, but it wouldn't work the scope. However, Windows sensed the device in the USB and loaded its own driver for it in about 2 minutes after I plugged it in, and it worked as soon as that loaded.
It works wonderfully now!!!

Please be careful using those things! My Gastroenterologist used one of those things down my throat a week ago and the anesthesia put me into seizures and grotesque rigidity on the OR table. My muscles still hurt! So, lacking Democratic control over us and these dangerous devices, I greatly urge everyone to NOT consider saving money with one of these things if your doctor orders an endoscopy on your spouse, child, or neighbor. MY cat maybe, if Christmas $$ are tight and the Vet needed it...
However, this is a very interesting post, as I thought these endoscopes were way out of my price range. I might consider one after Christmas...
Now hiker these are NOT in the same quality level as a real bore scope. Not even close. These are cheap, Chinese made electronics that I figured if I could use for a year before it goes belly up (and I believe it will) then I have gotten my monies worth out of it. With low expectations comes low disappointment.
I have a real borescope, but ordered one of these anyway. For under AUS$14 delivered, I'm willing to take a chance.
I'm less likely to use it in a gun bore, but I reckon it will have other uses.
For example, we've got some critter in our ceiling space at the moment (we can hear scratching) but I'm not going to clamber up there and try to find it. Firstly, it's too hot, and secondly, the crawl space is not that large and too many rafters and ties in the way. Chance are I'll slip and fall through the ceiling or at least put my foot through it!
So I could pop out a few of the downlights and poke the camera up there. Maybe I will finally find the owner of the discarded snakeskin we found up there near the manhole; yeah, I know that wouldn't make the scratching noises unless it was a rodent in it's teeth during death throes!
Question for you folks.
Have any of these you have bought work with iPads or iPhones (IOS systems)?
Most of the ones I see are for androids. I bought one but didn't notice it would not work with iOS devises. I could use it with the laptop though.
Life is so much better with dogs!
For $14 bucks that's really not tot bad. Nice find.
The used ones are even cheaper!
