    I buy mine from E.R.Shaw.

Don't have to get a loan to buy them and they have been shooters.

I put a douglas 5R barrel on my 7x57 icl rifle.
it ain't the best cast boolit shooter but will shoot under an inch at slower speeds.
I went with the slower twist and cut the throat for 139-145gr bullets so it's a happy camper when used with jacketed.

if you want to keep the original appearance you could have it re-bored to a 1-12 twist 30 cal and have a throat cut.
then just neck size the cases up and have about 500 molds to choose from instead of 3.

If the rifle and action are worth it take a look at the pre-threaded and pre-chambered Shilen barrels from Brownell's.

I have an F-14 small ring Adams and Bennett 7x57 barrel on a Turk action. They are only 20" long and small enough at the muzzle that it required a pressure point to shoot its best.

Its been a long time since I shot it off the bench but accuracy was certainly acceptable to me.
Its very accurate with the RCBS 168 gr if I keep the velocity in the neighborhood of 1500 fps.
A crow at 100 yds is certainly in harms way.
Some people live and learn but I mostly just live

I have used the Adams & Bennetts from Midway on 3 guns so far. They do take some shooting to smooth them out but they do shoot very good after that. They are also inexpensive. Midway only has the 7X57 chambering now for the small ring Mausers.
