    Oneokie - Nolan Grubbs has passed

    It is with heavy heart that I report the sudden death of our beloved Super Moderator and fellow casting and shooting enthusiast Nolan Grubbs. He passed away Sunday afternoon October 18 from a massive brain bleed, he was 65 year young born 1950 and passed 2015. He leaves behind wife Carla and son Nolan Jr. and daughter Taylor of the home and daughter from a previous marriage. He is gone but not forgotten. Here is a picture of him just after he had a confrontation with a bull calf, it is not the best I know but it is the Nolan that we knew and loved

    Nolan was my "neighbor" down the road and he was one of the first people here to help unload the Semi trailer with our belongings from Alaska. He was one of the hardest working people I ever met and very witty. I am Thankful for the time we spent together over the past year shooting and talking together, and visiting his ranch/ farm . I will forever miss him...

    What a shocker! I'm not really familiar with his posts here but he always seemed to bring something good to the table. He will be missed.

    My fondest memory of him, is when I started a thread to share/swap heirloom veggie seeds, He had a few quite unique seeds to offer. One of them is now my favorite tomato, Amish Paste.

    Wow. Words cannot express, nor am I a wordsmith that could use them, to make sense of this. Of all the useless people still walking around and breathing today, why did it have to be Nolan? He will be more than just sorely missed. My sincere condolences and prayers to his family. Rest in peace. I never met you in person, but would still consider myself your friend.
