Brian does it again! 45 250gr JHPs

I received my new set of 45 from 40 dies from Brian yesterday- already own the 40 from 9mm set and I've been very happy with them. Its hard to express the quality of these sets, if its possible, this new set is even more perfect than the last set. Some early attemps below if I can get the photos to link....

    Hi Andy,

Very nice! How do you put the cuts in the noses?

    Take care, Tom

    Hi Tom

Brian supplies a universal die to notch them. Look up BT_Sniper here on the forum. I run a commercial ammunition manufacturing concern (mainly high volume items) and I use his dies for my own personal bullets.

Nicely done Andy! Bullets and pictures look great. The 458s look very impressive too! Look like they could take down an elephant.

Glad to see everything made it to you. Yes, I have slightly modified a few steps in the machining process to achieve an even higher level of precision and quality in this latest batch of dies. I was pleased with the results and certainly glad to hear you are too. All part of my continued learning and improving process towards perfect. When I put your 45 cal set together I also put a few extra 45cal sets together out of this same batch, I have them posted right now on the swap and sell forum.

    Keep us posted,

    Good shooting and swage on!

    Brian

    Hi Bill

I turned the rim off and lathed the neck off at the shoulder. Annealed the now-straight brass, Seated a 10mm (.40") pure lead core, then formed them in a 308 sizing die to get a shoulder, then trimmed off the excess shoulder and neck with a lathe, then resized them down- they were at .460.

    Sandy,
Is that ChuckBuster's cannelure machine that did the cannelure?

If so, Kevin is a close friend, and he's already told me the story of the adventures of the shipment.....
