    '06 powder

I quit shooting and reloading for 15 years and just restarted.I used to load 30/06 with a 173 fp w/gas check with 22 gr 2400. Now I can't find 2400. I have Unique, Power Pistol, WST, 231, and Titegroup. Anyone have any loads with those powders? Appreciate any info.

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. If I was home I could look. I'll check back after I get home. I'm sure by then somebody will have hooked you up.

With plainbased bullet in the '06 a charge of 8.5 grains of WST does it for me.

Nice looking groups. I've been using RL-15 with J words but have not gotten into carrion for my Rem 700.....yet.

I keep thinking that I can shoot plain base that good at 50 yards (not). At 100 I am impressed. I may have to look around for that mould.

sometimes it's the powder and the alloy as well as the bullet.

Here are a few of my 06 groups

Blammer. Are you using the CCI-250 mag primers with the W-760 also? It would seem to me that you would almost have to be. That's a pretty light load for that slow burn rate ball powder in the 06'
