    Took my wife hunting today

One shot DRT. She loves her BRNO Mauser sporter in 7x57. She's taken numerous deer and elk plus Gemsbok, Zebra and Impala with her favorite rifle and rarely fires more than one shot. Elk season is coming but she'll most likely take her BIG rifle, a Argentine 98-09 in 35 Whelen.Click image for larger version.

Bravo and nice buck. Also, those are about the two best cals choices for antlered game there are. One when you need a little more range with trajectory on small to medium game and one for the range along with the bigger thumpum.
May you hands be warmed on a frosty day.

    Very Nice indeed.

I have one of those little 7X57 BRNO's, does your wife's have the double set triggers as well? That is only the second one I have seen like it in all my years of shooting.

Beautiful lady, good with a rifle and puts meat in the freezer on a regular basis. But can she cook?
J/K, I hope you wake up every morning telling yourself how truly blessed you are. Congrats to both of you, nicely done!

Yes, it does have set triggers. She' been carrying it for 30 years and still loves it. She bought it herself from a friend of ours and never looked back.

OH BOY can she cook and yes I do wake up every morning and tell myself how lucky I am to be married to my best friend. Can't believe that it has been 46 years. Time flies when you're having fun.

It sure is a blessing to have a wife who enjoys some of our (man) sports. My wife shoots with me also, and beyond that, has her own racecar.

Great story, good luck with the elk,too... I am also the proud owner user of a 7x57 Brno, but it's the single trigger model...afraid,at the $ those rifles bring nowadays,I'll never own another.. Onceabull
