    Veterans Memorials

Went to a my wifes family reunion last week in Sulfur Springs, Tx. Her 92 year old brother took me down to the court square to see Hopkins County veterans memorial to all from Hopkins County who served in all wars. Very impressive with walls with all names etched in stone , a bronze statue, waterfall wall. The oldest name and conflict I saw was the Civil war. A wall for the MIAs and pows. If your are going on I 30 it is well worth your time to stop and see this memorial. If all communities supported their veterans like this we would not be having all the problems with the VA healthcare system. Impressive thank you Texas for your support. From an old veteran.

A group in Plano Texas set up 1000 US flags with names and tags of fallen in a city park. Today is last day but they plan a bigger memorial next year.
    Whatever!

One of the things for which I admire Texans. They don't forget the men and women who have paid for their and our republic and our freedom.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms *shall not be infringed*.

"The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution."
    - Thomas Jefferson

"While the people have property, arms in their hands, and only a spark of noble spirit, the most corrupt Congress must be mad to form any project of tyranny."
    - Rev. Nicholas Collin, Fayetteville Gazette (N.C.), October 12, 1789
