Put a little in a plastic bag with a few wads and shake until coated. Give it a try! BPI sells mica wad dust, a teaspoon will coat a whole bag of wads.

Interesting, dry lubing the wad...
I only do this w Hubel's supersabot and use hexagonal boron nitride powder. Those wads are really tight in my bore, so its an experiment.
Which wads are you lubing and what is your bore size?

i tried it with some steetl shot recepirs the the BPI book called for and tried the same without it. i never saw any considerble amelioration using it
Amelioration of what, nicodiesel? what were you looking for?
in my case, iw as looking to reduce pressure which it seemed to do: my suspicion is that the hBN reduced the friction on the first coupel inches of bore, after which the plastic sabot swaged down to bore-sized. Numbers were not consistent though, seemed to reduce some and not others.
But what effect were you looking to ameliorate?

What Hogtamer said. BPI recommends motor mica wad dusting for quite a number of their loads. Not sure if motor mica or graphite would be better. When I first read the BPI recipes I was surprised at the mica "lube" but they said it reduces pressure so it must work.
So far I have not used those particular recipes so have not played with the mica dust.
I have put a thin coat of TC Macksi Lube on the outside of the wads before trying to help pedals from torn and for a distant second purpose to keep powder below the gas seal on some wads. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't work in saving pedals.

May you hands be warmed on a frosty day.
I'm currently using Talcum Powder to lube my wads [Lyman 525 Sabot Slugs out of a Mossberg 500A 24" Rifled Barrel]
Any deer I take will smell NICE!
No results yet: I will be going shooting later in January.
Happy New Year, all!
I use bpi mica wad slick for my tri-ball loads and yes a little will do a whole bag of wads
