    The 270 SAA bullet has always been a plain base.

    got you added. This mold is .454. Sorry, plain base only, the 270 SAA has always been that configuration. To be honest, if you are using a soft alloy to achieve expansion, you don't want to run it at speeds that require a GC in my experiences. Shears nose too fast and will start to lead unless you harden the alloy and then it sort of defeats the intent of the HP.
