I tried to send a link for this site to a freind on Facebook, and it was blocked. Apparently, reloading is unsafe.

    Here's a screenshot.

Try using a link shortener like Bitly, that might mask it from FB's keyword algorithm. https://bitly.com/

These links take you to articles explaining that an anti-gun group is trying to get people to do that very thing. This is extremely dangerous since the police will be showing up all excited and ready to shoot if you even blink at them.
I guess they think if they can't pass laws to take our guns away, maybe they can get the police to shoot us.
Shees! The insane sons of guns!

I can understand anti-gun people though. Just think about this, if you were a criminal and you wanted to rob, murder or maim somebody and they pulled a gun on you and shot you, you would want to ban guns too! I suspect the motives of this "Coalition to Stop Gun Violence".

I've never had a problem with it. Above is a link to a Cast Boolits thread I've been following but it is a closed group, meaning you have to be a member.

My wife likes it because it lets her know what is going on in her kids and grandkids lives many of whom live a considerable distance away. I don't have an account myself. I figure when I want to talk to my family I will call on the phone.

Many would feel feel the same about people who are members of this board.

Can't use any of that with my dial up "earmuff" modem and my TRS-80 computer..the dial up phone is the real problem because when the recording says "press one" and I do...I get my finger stuck in the "one hole".

Oh man. And I thought I was the only one left using a trash 80.

My daughters and there husbands post there hunting photos regularly on Facebook. Dead animals and birds with the works.

I'd be more inclined to think the OP's computer is infected with malware that's being blocked.

Good question, answer is that it turned into a FB bash post. A couple of years back I got disgusted with FB and quit logging in. I even predicted it wouldn't be around in a year or so. Oops. File that with my predictions for the 40 S&W and the 17HMR, lol.
I still log in now and then to keep up with folks I have little contact with. I post only vague references to guns there, I come here to do that.

I am a member of the LEE reload group on Face book. So I dont know why they would single out Cast Boolits.
As for using Face Book. Not so much for me. I dont need to talk to people all the time. And I am real real careful what I post on there. Most Employers monitor your face book account. So it is for sure your super public face.
My wife... Thats another story, she is glued to the thing.
It does have its uses. My wife found a local for sale group. I got a snow blower and a table saw for 50 bucks for both.
And today.. Well actually yesterday one of my dogs took off. Its bear hunting season and if he can sneak out.
He likes to hit the bear baits that are around. Have seen the trail can photos from guys at work. " This your dog?"
ahhhh yea... Thats my dog. Chowing away on the gummies.

We had not seen him for a day. I figured he met the wrong side of a bear hunter.

Today my wife was Face Booking. And she yells. " Hey here is our dog!!!"
Some one posted his image on the Animal shelters FB Page. Every one who has liked that page gets it. Then they pass it on to all who they liked.
Dog was in town living the life a Riley. I went and picked him up about 20 min after the image was posted.

Cool.. Still I wont post any opinions on FB. just run of the mill stuff I want my Boss to know about.

dragon813gt - I agree with his post on page one of this thread.

I'm old .. so I'll use that as an excuse but far too much is dependent on "social media" today. It distances people from people and it seems like so many today lack the ability to communicate face to face.

We have younger acquaintances that use Facebook and they want everybody else to use it to communicate with them. Sorry . . . but I refuse. Once something is posted on the internet, it's posted for eternity. Even this reply.

People post photos of their kids . . post personal information that is nobody's business . . post where and what they are doing . . . when they are on vacation . . . etc. All i can think of is it's a great "hunting ground" for "perps" of all types bent on doing bad things . . . break ins, burglaries, kid snatching . . . you name it. The same goes for all this "tweeting'" or whatever it's called. Life has become pretty shallow if folks have to let everybody know what they are doing or thinking every time they turn around.

I'm not surprised the link was blocked . . . . why wouldn't it be in this "politically correct society" we live in? The same society where the government has the right to see all of your social media transmissions for the "sake of security".

Yes . . technology is great. But it's not a substitute for gold old face to face interaction. If I want to visit with somebody, I'll pick up my phone (yes, I still have a land line) and call them to visit if they live too far away. In fact, to show you how old I am . . I actually still "write" letters to friends . . . and in "cursive" . . . something that the powers to be think is no longer needed to be taught in school . . . because we have all this great technology . . . emails, Facebook, twitter . . . . .

The good thing? We have the technology to have access to sites such as this which years ago we didn't. The bad . . . it takes the "personal" out of it . . .

Considering how many urban legends I see being passed around on there, I'm not so sure about that credibility statement.

I have an account just so I can use it to logon to various news sites with a common ID and tell the liberals that they are idiots.

BTW, if you do this, you probably shouldn't use your real name as your FB ID (unless you like having government agents visiting you at inconvenient times).

Yes exactly, unless a notification or evidence elsewhere says it is about guns or reloading, we can't know whether it was because of guns or reloading. I can remember when Castboolits was an organization for people interested In shooting and reloading. But websites are affected by the need to sell advertising, just as the press is. The more hits they get, the more advertising, and the more they can charge for it.

Have you looked at the "unread posts" section under your profile name, especially at times of day when people have refreshed themselves not wisely but too well? Those numbers are bought with a startling level of racism, religious bigotry, vilely expressed hatred for American politicians, and fantasizing about drawing a burglar tag. I've seen whole klaverns of them massaging one another over the thought of forcing all Muslims in the US to renounce or be deported (Where, with the second-generation and totally Americanized ones I've known?), or be killed for resisting. Right now they are exulting at a falling crane in Mecca killing over a hundred of the people that committed 9/11, although we know the perpetrator of 9/11 now have an alibi and no forwarding address. Oklahomans must really be worrying about getting some of what Timothy McVey deserved them into.

I can understand any organization wanting to quarantine that kind of illness. It is true that there is a tremendous amount of government surveillance nowadays. My German mother-in-law's sister got a phone call from Homeland Security because they had mentioned my being in Saudi Arabia on the phone. Two ladies in their late eighties, one a war bride and the other the widow of a member of the Berlin Parliament during the Cold War, who refused compulsory membership of the female Hitler Youth when she was 14 and got away with it! Mind you, Homeland Security were extremely nice to her. Maybe they wanted to be able to say "We do this with white people too."
