I agree with you Hickory, but you must realize by now that you're wasting your time with any kind of a response. He just doesn't get it or likes to argue.

This from the guy who was hurling personal attacks and insulting everyone in two different states the other day?

Gheezh oh Pete guys. I am tired of dealing with your incessant whining, complaining and reporting each others posts when you dont agree. There is this wonderful function called IGNORE, I suggest y'all start using it. Now knock this garbage off!

Ya know being stubborn and telling a mod what he should do isn't a wise thing to do. I asked politely and as directly as I could. Yet you are choosing to continue to look at it from only one side and tell me I don't know the difference between an argument and a personal attack. Shame on you.

You seem to be the aggressor on this thread. Knock it off and quit complaining.

The only person in this thread I have a problem with is sparky. Me and hickory just disagree, no hostility at all. I didn't think my post came out that way, and I certainly didn't mean for them too.

When faced with that type of situation, go in prepared. Have a list of free proxy sites, such as http://free-proxyserver.com/ These sites will allow you to bypass the blocking. However, most workplaces either have these sites blocked or at least frown upon their use. Any competent IT staff will already have these blocked, or at least find out you're using them.

Long story short: use a web proxy, but don't try to use them at work.

Never done the stitching unless using super glue as stitches counts, but I have always taken out my own stitches since I was a kid. I would feel weird letting a doctor take stitches out now.

I had to have stiches in my eyeball once, they used self dissolving stiches. I have to wonder why they don't on other wounds, unless it is just to get another visit out of those that don't take their own out.
Anytime it is a deep enough cut they use the dissolving stiches on the inside.

Sort of. My choice with whom I do business even if insurance picks up most of the tab.

I am the IT guy at work. It's a large company so I'm just the local support. Our network team has lots of sites blocker but not this one. Too many employees will spend all day looking at YouTube if they could. I don't have or want a personal smart phone because I have to carry theirs 24x7. Using it as a hot spot takes my data plan from unlimited to 10 gb/month. The iPad is a new Air2 so I could activate the SIM if the proxies don't work. Truthfully, I didn't sleep well the night before, had to be at the hospital at 5:00 am and was too tired to work at it very hard.

My pad has its own line that pretty much solves the problem with blocked sites . My Ms and I rarely hit 4 GB unless we are traveling then maps eats up bites pretty fast . Fortunately most of the places we go we only need it for the last 10 miles or so.

This was our last little stitch diddy . Ms let a brand new bale throw gap gate get her . 4" long meat and vessels showing missed them all . They just slathered her up in surgi-seal and steri-strips and sent us on our way .

It was funny actually the nurse was camped about 2 miles from the gate hunting elk until the day before .

I'm a bit nervous to jump into this thread considering to posts thus far, maybe I should just start a poll.

I'd avoid trying to read to much into the blocking of this site. They most likely have a DNS filter such as OpenDNS where they just select categories to block. Weapons, porn, alcohol, etc...most of the good stuff. I'm the network admin at my place of employment and we utilize the same service. Things that may not need to be blocked will suddenly come up because of a new search term associated with the site or some other reason without me ever touching the filter. It's their wifi that they are putting out for free, so they can filter it however they want. Likewise, we can choose which businesses to take our business to.

In my case, we are mandated by CIPA to filter the internet and I don't have time to sort through which sites are amazing resources of knowledge (like this one) and which ones are ISIS recruiting sites pushing out copies of the original Anarchist's Cookbook...checking the weapons box catches it all.
