    Arsenal 358-124GR. TC, arrived today

    Hello every one,

I recently noticed that Arsenal was making a 358-124GR TC mold.

Has anyone here used one of these?

In the listing, I noticed it was advertised as an "easy drop design". I noticed the lube groves didn't look as deep as other 358 molds I have. After getting the mold today in the mail, (5 cav, $85.50 including shipping) WOW, this looks great. I believe the lube groove is shallower than the older designs that carry over the large volume lube grooves that were needed in the black powder days. I believe this is what Arsenal is referring to as the (easy drop design).

It will be a couple of weeks before I can drop some boolitz from this mold, unless we get a rainy spell here in Central NY. I think the beveled steel bushings in the pin holes even show up in the above photo.

IMHO, Arsenal sure did a good job a packing this mold in the box. lots of packing material and the bagged mold was taped to the inside of the box.

I think this is the 6th mold I have gotten from Arsenal, can't wait to get it hot from pouring alloy threw it. Between my Son, Daughters family and my household, I am feeding 6 different 9mms, Let the Boolitz drop. I think this will work in some 38 Spec and 357 loads also. All of our 9s easily digest the other 358 boolitz Including Arsenals 358-135 RF.

I will post some photos of boolitz and how it goes as soon as time allows.

    Long live the Lead Boolit,

    Ken

Nice looking mold. Let us know how it works out as I may have to get one to feed my 9mms.

I've got Arsenal's 5 cavity 255 grain Keith SWC mold and love it. I've also got molds from NOE and MiHec, and imho his quality is right up there. I can go through 20 lb pots of alloy and make a big pile of 44 magnum fodder pretty fast with it.

Let us know how it works out for you. I've had great luck with mine.

Just Like cowpuncher, I to have molds from his listed makers and ACE, HM2, LBT, and others. I totally agree " and imho his quality is right up there."
