I have a henry 22 lever, it feeds the 22short, 22,22lr, it is the most favorate gun i ever had,i take it every were and can hit pop cans at 75 yrds open sites, i liked it so much i treated my self to a golden boy in 22 mag. It didnt grow on me like the other, i shot it a few times, I ended up trading it for a new henry pump in 22s,22,22lr I do like it a little more than the 22 mag but nothing beets my henry lever, I realy like shooting the 22 shorts, they are really accurate, just my experence.

FWIW my advice would be to forego the .22 mag. IF you can find ammo at all you'll pay .38 - .50 cents EACH for ammo. Can't explain why but I've been looking at this market foe seceral years and .22 mag is the worst of the worst to buy.

Welcome to the forums here at castboolits, golden boy 2714!
Perhaps you would answer a few questions--it's difficult to respond to your statement--have you a planned use for the 22 mag? I myself have 3-an auto, a single-shot H&R youth model and a Marlin clip-fed bolt action.

The Marlin is the most accurate the H&R a close second--both will shoot less than 2" groups at 50 yds and the and the auto has open sights so I don't really know how accurate it might be since I got it on a whim but it's good enough for jackrabbits on the run.

For myself, personally, I find that the buttstock of the Henrys pretty much all drop too much for me to get a good cheek weld which for me is essential for accurate shooting. It's too bad because I find them to be a handsome outfit and they are all american made; I hear nothing but good about them from those who have and shoot them.

    What is your intended use?

    EDIT:
