Lyman 45-70 bullet

I was looking through my new 2015 Graf's catalog the other day and noticed that Lyman had a new to me at least a 45 caliber bullet listed under 45-70 bullets. It's a collar button style design according to the description and shows a casting weight of 145 grains.
I've used Accurate molds for the past 7 years or so and have not kept up with the other makers designs. It looks as if this bullet is meant for a special type of shooting and I was wondering what loadings if any have our BP shooters done.
I have a very small amount of that other powder so if you can, I'm looking for BP loads. Thanks for the Time, David

The collar button mold is an old mold that was designed for gallery shooting. At that time (of course) it was loaded with PB and card wads. Light loads of Unique work and some have tried multiple boolit loads as well.

I thought I would like to make up some gallery type loads for my 45-70 for plinking fun at our limited area SASS ranges. I was hoping that someone had some BP info already done to save some range time.
I have about 100 short Hornaday cases that I was looking to use in some project as they are very short from all my others. Thanks to all who took time to enlighten me with this search. Later David

I always thought this would be a good idea for 45 Long Colt cases to reduce the charge for Cowboy Action shooting. Would look more traditional than the 45 Cowboy Special brass and not leave a ring in the chamber.

Haven't seen any of those, but they are described in the 1878 Sharps Catalog and again in the Ideal Handbook from the mid 1880's.
