I am now 66. Casting got me hooked in 1984, reloading with my Dad started around 1971. Lots of very old ideal and Lyman molds. I have like 7 lubesizers. A couple are Lyman 45s. Can you have too many lubesizers and boolit sizer dies? Years ago at the rifle club, some of the ‘old guys’ gave me their equipment as the ‘retired’ from the hobby. I will do the same I imagine.

I started casting in bulk when I was about 30 so the family could afford to shoot competitively. I'm in my mid 40s now. Still casting in bulk. Learned everything I needed to know from this site and got some literally invaluable help and parts from a few members here. Casting tens of thousands per year takes some equipment and good practices to keep the work load reasonable.

I like this thread. I posted my age many years ago and since I can not update it I guess I am still young. Oh today is my B day or was it yesterday who can remember.

I am 73 and I started casting boolits about 1982. I started out casting .357 boolits. I now cast for 7 different calibers.

Started when I was 16 or so because I was going thru my dad's cast bullets too fast. I'm 73 now.

I’m 45. Been casting for 15 years now. Hope to keep this craft alive and passed down to my son.

There should be a category for "too darned old."

This thread is about 8.5 years old now. It would be interesting to see how much the graph would change if re-done and placed along side the original. I know I have jumped up two levels.

Can't remember whether I revealed my age earlier on this thread but just turned 84 last month. Spent some time today de-priming a bunch of brass, 9mm, 380, 38, 357, 40, 45 ACP to clean. Too good a hobby to give it up. Big Boomer
