    Shooting Bench

I modified some bench plans I saw and made it for 2 people. On the one side it is ok for left hand or right hand.Click image for larger version.

I like your two - man bench. Now the spotter or student or whatever can sit right next to you.

It is either way. I usually hook up a spotting scope anyway, but most frequently there are 2 of us shooting, 1 at a time. Makes it nice for 1 to spot and the other shoot, then alternate.

Looks pretty solid but I generally don't want others on the same bench/seat I am firing from. Also don't like to be right of anyone firing a semiauto.

jmooris - I feel the same. We take turns. Semi auto position on right. I do a lot of Contender and Encore shooting from this. It's mostly a way to be social with my sons.

I read that the pen and the tongue are mightier than the sword/blade here. That opinion is only valid if you survive the confrontation with the man with the edged weapon.

I had a couple of encounters in RVN. The guys I showed my Kabar to, screaming did not overcome the blade.

    Just sayin...

For that job it would be fantastic. Mine is still a bit young for me to build something like that. We just use a picnic table, that way when she gets bored after a few min she can go back to playing in the dirt.

Looks like a nice bench and the fact that it is in the shade makes it even better.

Yes, if it starts to rain, unless it is a downpour, you have a lot of time before you get wet.
