    2400

I was just looking through some websites and noticed that 3rd generation has 2400. I have never ordered from them before. It has been so long since I've seen any that I was starting to wonder if they only did seasonal runs of it.

LOL! Widener's had some last fall, I did manage to pick up 10 lb. I had been using on my last pound when I found it, I understand your frustration! It is out there, you just have to keep checking the reloading sites regularly.

I just bought two pounds from Bass Pro last Saturday. Picked it right off the shelf and payed $72 for it after tax.

3rd Generation is great to order from, good prices and 9.00 shipping plus Hazmat. Get the 2400 if you have the money they have 11 8 pounders now. I missed the univ Clays, that is all I am after at the moment. I was considering a keg of 300MP but I have a lot of magnum pistol powder.

I paid $24 / lb (2400) a month or two ago. They said this was the first large Alliant shipment since Sept 2013.

I have a powder comparison sheet. An it shows that Accurate 4100 Double Base, Hodgdon H110, Ramshot Enforcer, Vihtaviouri N105 are all very close to the same burn rate as 2400. Can anyone verify that for me?

Third Generation had some eight pounders of Alliant 2400 today. I bought one, limit was two, but I'm not greedy. 8 Lbs. will hopefully last me until this madness resolves itself! Tt

I picked up a couple of lbs at Bass Pro about 2 months ago, had to pay the BassPro inflated price, but it was the first I had seen in over 2 years. They had a few lbs in stock this last Sunday. They do have the option of ordering online and ship to store (no hazmat fee) if you have a BP near you.

KB, they ARE similar, but load data is NOT interchangeable at ALL. 296/H110 don't like to be loaded below near max. pressure levels. They don't burn well or consistently below near max, and pressures can get squirrelly trying to load it at reduced levels. 2400 on the other hand, has been used for many years in lower pressure and midrange with cast in rifles of many calibers. I haven't used the other three .... yet.
