Send him a pm. I have one and it is quick and turns out excellent caps. I highly recommend it.

I believe he is still active here. I have one of his cap makers also and they are quality. He has some good video on using them also.

I sent a PM but haven't heard back. I have not been able to find his posts about selling the cap makers either. I was just wondering if he is still active here.

He may be out of pocket for a short period. I do know that he built up inventory over the last month or two. I would keep pming him once a week. I am sure he will back.

give him time, small outfit so he does it all and if he has to go away for a few days there is nobody to cover. took awhile for me to get thru when I ordered some cap makers. most excellent customer service.

Can somebody point me to a site that will show what the cap makers look like and how they work?

they look real similar to the tap-o-cap, and work the same way. put strip of aluminum can in and tap the rod down and out comes a cap. just need primer compound to finish. don't have a way to post photos, but they are heavy machined tubes with a rod that slides thru a hole in the center and "punches" out a cap from soda cans or copper sheets.

here's a link to my write-up about making caps.
    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...ercussion-caps

I machined my own version forming die but the cap assembly descriptions would apply to Manny's forming die also. My homemade caps are as reliable as the Remington's I bought. I just tried some I built last fall and they still work great!

Once you start making your own you'll probably give up on commercial caps altogether.
