Yall help me figger this out

I have some Bertram Brass "BB" brass shells I bought at an estate sale that were loaded rounds. The headstamp says "45 Basic" and they are just short of 3.3 inches long. They were loaded with 500 grain paper patched bullets (boolits so I don't get lynched) and waxed card wads and coarse black powder. I would like to sell them but cannot with them containing powder. I have used a long screw chucked in a drill to remove the cards and dump the powder in a couple (literally 2) and I don't want to do it again. I think I have around 30 or 35 of these (I haven't counted) that I would like to get rid of. Any way of just firing these to unload them without buying a 2000 dollar weapon to do it?

You ain't got a kinetic bullet puller? Once the bullet is out (whatever method you are currently using) put it in a kinetic pullet and pop the card wad out that way. OR use a ice pick, or a sharp knife, etc etc

Yes I can be long winded. Yes I follow rabbit trails. Yes I admit when I am wrong. Your mileage may vary.

Keep your powder dry. Watch yer Top knot.

"Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"

Yes there were "Short" 45 Colts! http://www.leverguns.com/articles/taylor/45_short_colt.htm

To answer some questions to the best of my knowledge....
I cant SHIP them with powder. This is my best understanding of the law, albeit I may be all wet.
These wads are stuck in the cases. I mean STUCK.

After doing some research on this cartridge I may be stuck with these things. Midway sells brass 100.00 per 20.
Why so expensive? My guess is because few folks use them and they are special once in a blue moon run.
Maybe I ought to look into a new "punisher" for the cabinet.
No. Still up to get them sold.

    "ALL THE WAY"

You only have a few more then 30 cases. Pull the bullets. A PP bullet is usually seated fairly loose if it is tight or crimped take the die out of your loading press and run the round through the hole and clamp onto the bullet with a wire stripper and lower the ram. This is the easiest way to pull any bullet.
Take a sheetrock screw or a cabinet screw and cut the head off and use it for pulling the wad.
If you don't want the powder and primer, just drop the case with powder in it if it is compressed to tight to easily dump the powder. Water will soften the powder and you can get it out easily.
De-prime the case and run the brass through a tumbler and it will look like new.

pulling bolllits with pliers in a press is easy enough to do. Several ways to remove the card wad as you did with the screw. apolished dowel or wraps of tape to keep centered helps alot ( think ball puller for a muzzle loader). A long narrow standard screw driver may disloge the wad so it can be pulled with hemostats or needle nosed pliers. Depending on powders compression a vide blade screw driver or long deck screw will loosen the powder so it can be dumped out. Keep in mind that with the tool inserted the powder may overflow meaning dong over container or doing twice. SOmetimes the kienetic puller will dislodge everything at one time.

Which reminds me of a joke:

SJ is 85 and lives in a Senior Citizens Home.

Every night after dinner he goes to a secluded garden behind the home to sit and
ponder his accomplishments and long life.

One evening, Mildred, age 82, wanders into the garden. They begin to chat and before
they know it, several hours have passed. After a short lull in their conversation, SJ
turns to Mildred and asks, "Do you know what I miss most of all?"

    She asks, "What?''

    "Sex" he replies.

Mildred exclaims, "Why you old toot. You couldn't get it up if I held a gun to your head!"

"I know," SJ says, "but it would be nice if a woman could just hold it for a while."

"Well, I can oblige," says Mildred, who unzips his trousers, removes his manhood and
proceeds to hold it. Afterward, they agree to meet secretly each night in the garden where
they would sit and talk and Mildred would hold SJ's thingie.

Then one night SJ didn't show up at their usual meeting place. Alarmed, Mildred decided
to find him and make sure he was O.K.

She walked around the Senior Citizen Home where she found him sitting by the pool with
Ethel, another female resident, who was holding SJ's little Pal.

Furious, Mildred yelled, "You two-timing son-of-a-gun!! What does Ethel have that I don't have?"

Old SJ smiled happily and replied, "Parkinson's"

I once found two cases of .38 spc. cowboy ammo at my front door that was meant for a fellow up in Fargo ND that has the same name as mine. Well I know this powder supplier quite well because I get my powder from him so I called him and thanked him for his generous gift of two cases of .38's I told him that I would send it back to him and he said no you cant, your not licensed to do this. I will sent a order for pick up at your door.
