    RED333 wins

    DtheD is runner up

    ==================
    What unique tool/s do you use...you know, the one that makes a part of the process much easier...you know, the one everyone else would love to know about.
    *Bonus points if it's homemade
    **Double bonus points if it looks homemade as well
    ***OK, I'll offer a hint, One of my favorites in this topic are the Kake cutters that Ben (at least I think it was Ben?) makes from a used brass case, a nail, and a short piece of wooden dowel...and maybe a spring?

    A reminder, please submit/post only one photo. If you post more than one in this thread, your submission will be DQ'd

    If you have more photos you'd like to post, feel free to post them in the comments thread.

    My entry.

    Using a hotplate as a mould & ingot heater/pre-warmer prior to casting.

    I also use it to heat cycle brand new moulds.

    It's just a cheap electric hotplate, a used skill saw blade for the base, and an empty coffee can for a wind resistant mould oven lid.

    Got the original idea for a mould oven from Geargnasher, and shamelessly borrowed the excellent wooden handle top idea from a picture posted by JonB_in_Glencoe.

    I still work a lot with a single stage press. I use this holder for processing brass and also load it with lead projectiles for the lubing step it works very well for me.

    Attached is a photo of my latest invention, of 35 yrs ago. It is called the Handy Dandy Super Duper Primer Pocket Cleaner, HDSDPPC for short. Constructed of a free Erection Set motor with a drilled and tapped shaft adapter as shown. Works like a charm.

    Gas check stretcher for those sometimes too fat gas check shanks. This one is for 338 checks. I have several different diameters that I have turned out on the lathe.

    Brass kicker. Saves time when depriming or resizing large batches of brass.

    I took an empty condom bullet box, cut a hole in the bottom of it just big enough to thread on to the 7/8 x 14 allthread that my homemade check maker die is made from. This does 2 things, first it catches the checks as they get pushed out the top and second it almost acts as a jamb nut to keep the die from adjusting itself while banging out checks.
