I have an affinity to the SRH and think it is the finest DA revolver ever made. Strange since I never shoot DA anyway. I used to for fun but it is easy to just cock the gun. Wonderful trigger. Not like the RH with the stupid spring for trigger and hammer.

At this time I only have two molds for the .480, The Lee 476-400-RF and a RCBS .476-400 SWC, both shoot good, a slight edge for the Lee.

Good to hear, I much prefer to avoid GCs, and in my handguns I have not
found a need for them. Still a bit skeptical of the hard boolit thing, but will
give it a shot again in this cartridge. Have not found a need in .44 Mag
and .357 for heat treating or superhard alloys. Doesn't mean I won't
give it a try, on the advice of others, for the .480.

If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Bill, I have dumped so many deer in their tracks with hard .475 boolits it is crazy. Just water dropped WW metal. You will need harder with a PB so you don't skid the base band. Just something about the .475/.480 that I can't explain, In my words---DEADLY!
Would I use my same boolit on a cape buff, YES.
