New guy on here looking for a .458 mould

I'm searching for a 390-425 grain gas check style mould in .458 (actually need .454) for my 460 S&W. Anybody have an idea? Thanks

Check noe, accurate ( venders here). Also Lyman, rcbs, and saeco. Brooks, Old west, and other custom makers can make just what you want also.

Ah ha. Too bad you aren't after an LBT 260 grain .458 gas check!

I would think the boolit for the .460 should be .452". Opens up a world of boolits.
The name is only to differentiate from other .45's, not groove size. Same as the .480 Ruger that is still .475 and should take a .476" boolit.
Has the bore and throats been slugged?

As said, that cartridge takes a .452" bullet, 'new guy'.

Page 11 of the NEI catalog should have something you can use.

LEE makes some good ones too, if you really need it larger than the .452 you can maybe use their .457 bullets for the 45-70, 458, they have 340gr, 405gr and 500gr in several nose shapes.

Charlie: Thanks for attaching the catalog page. Just printed it out for a wall hanger in the loading room.
