Professor Gun will tell you - but at least .001, anyway. I'm not an expert re GC's, so I use the general case...

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)

Well It depends on your bore size . My 8mm GEW98 likes .003" over bore with gas check.
My .243 win Ruger 77V like them .002" over bore with gas checks I Don't use gas checks on any of my pistols however. But boolits are still at least .002 over bore

What your gun needs for groove, NOT BORE. .001 or .002 does not matter. The GC only stops skid at the base. It should be the same size as the boolit.
