Bruce Bannister, one of the foundations of Shooters, Aimoo , and Cast Boolits has passed on. I got the word from his daughter, Kim. Bruce was in the hospital for several ailments. My wife, Fran and I visited Bruce around noon yesterday and Kim visited later in the day. Kim notified me this morning that Bruce had passed on about midnight last night. Any further news will be posted here.

He will very much be missed. A kind man who was full of information that he gave freely.
Sorry to hear that, he's certainly had more than his share of troubles in recent years but that's over for him now. We're certainly going to miss his contributions around here and on the other sites where he shared his vast knowledge.

Another great loss to the CAST BOOLITS family. I PMed back and forth with Bruce a couple of times. He was always kind and generous with his extensive knowledge of milsurps.

Seemed like he lived an adventurous life and kept on going even with serious late-life challenges, divorce and amputation and moving, that would crush most people. I admired him. The members in Nevada who stepped-up and helped him out are owed many thanks for that help when he needed it most.
