    Aftermarket trigger for CZ ?

Has anyone here had any experience with the aftermarket triggers for the CZ model 452 ? I've read the 452 responds really well to the little things ........ not that they aren't accurate as they come !

Right now I'm just breaking one in with an old Leupold scope . Probably going to get the Leupold rim fire version first and see how that does before moving on to other little additions , one of which would be the trigger .

    Thanks , Jack

Rifle Basix makes a replacement trigger for the CZ rimfire rifles and many people are happy with them. Majority of people use the "YoDave" parts kit to enhance the factory trigger. Go to www.rimfirecentralcentral.com in the CZ rimfire sub section and there's a sticky on installation and purchase info, they are inexpensive. I have 4 CZ rimfires and none have a trigger I would consider needing work or replacement they shoot extremely well as is.

I did the Rifle Basix replacement sear in my 452 Military Trainer maybe 15 years ago (Jeez! That long!) when that was their only option. That and a good scope was all the little rifle needed to deliver sub-dime-sized groups at 50 yards with Wolf Match Target. I'd consider trading the rifle for an Anschutz 54, but not for anything less. From what I've seen, CZ does a good enough job on the basic chassis that all you'd really need to do to enhance accuracy is clean up any issues with the trigger, take a look at the bedding areas, and possibly replace the slot-head action screws with Allens that you can torque to a preferred level. Happily, they don't leave much left for the tinkerer.

I highly recommend this kit. I have both the Brooks and Yodave. Doesn't look like the should work but they are outstanding

If you want an adjustable sear these work great

My 452 is very accurate. I can get a 5 shot group all touching at 77 meters from a rest. That I would have to say is very good. Now if I can hold it on target that good then I would win more matches.

+1 on the YoDave kit, I did my 455 with one and it was an excellent improvement for the modest cost.
Just a FYI, they are shipped out of Canada and sometimes delivery times are a bit long.

Is Canada the sole source for the kit or is there a Vendor that has them on the shelf on this side of the border ?

After messing around with spring and tube kits, I popped for an adjustable sear on my early 452 and it worked great. I was shooting silhouette at the time and really noticed the elimination of creep.

I did the Yo Dave kit on my 452 and the result was a great trigger. No creep and proably 2 pounds. However, looking at the minimal sear engagement caused me some concern. Had a Timney installed and am very happy with it. Makes a very good rifle great.Art

Timney makes one for the 452 ? now you're talking , I've been busy with other things since I robbed the last scope off it . I have a new Leupold VX-1 coming from Optics Planet for this one . When I catch up around here I'm going to enjoy working with the 452 again .

I'll check Brownell's for the Timney I hear they make a trigger for the Axis too and may get one for that .

The Yodave will give you a lighter and crisper trigger than the Timney. The only advantage that the Timney may have less over travel.

    http://www.timneytriggers.com/shop/t...t-trigger.aspx
Adjustable from 2- 3.5lbs. The sear engagement is also adjustable and the over-travel is mechanically limited. Each trigger is calibrated to approximately 2lb., with no creep (Stock inletting required).

I don't have this model but I do have some other Timneys and I have installed fair number of them.

    http://www.yodaveproducts.com/
The Yodave site claims 1 pound is the lighest but the three I have are 10 to 12 ozs.
