    NOE does it again!

Just got my NOE 360-158-SWC, BRP

    http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product...oducts_id=1902

Got a message Monday they were done, got it paid for and they were shipped out same day I presume, it arrived today Wed after the Monday order! Al is on the ball!

cleaned it and cast up a pile of them today.

I was waiting for a good design with shallow lube grooves. Some have just such a horribly big lube groove, they just didn't do it for me.

(I tried to use some of NOE's lube grooves he sells, but I think I got the wrong size... )

They were dead nuts at .360 dia as cast, all the way around for all 5 cavities.

The lube groove measured .340 on mine, nicely shallow. When sized and lubed to .358 they hold just the right amount I wanted.

Now to load them up in my 38/357mag wheel gun and go shooting!

    Thanks again!

Got to agree with you about the mold. I have an original BRP mold like yours and can`t be happier with the design.Robert

I cast up some, (more to come later) sized lubed and loaded 50 already. (shot some of them already.. )

bluedot may be a bit smokey, I'll have to break out the Unique and see how that works.

Cast 800 of them now, all sized and lubed.

tested a few with WW231 for my 357 mag and decided that's the bullet and powder I want a lot of...

    now to find a dillon....

I originally designed that bullet to replace the Hornady 158 gr swaged SWC which I've shot 1000's over 5.0 grs of WW 231 and a CCI 500 primer in 357 mag cases. I cast mine from nearly pure lead and lube them with one thin coat of thinned out Lee mule snot or 45/45/10. The dried bullet are then given a light dusting of motor mica. It does enhance the accuracy. I never intended to ever use real lube on this design, but added the very shallow grooves just in case. It all worked out and I was able to match the Hornady bullet's accuracy which is a ragged hole at 25 and 50 yards. 5.0 grs of WW 231 clocks right at 1,100 fps out of my 8 3/8 686. This load is stable and accurate at over 300 yards.

and funny how 5.0gr of WW231 work really good for me too.

I'm running a mix of felix and some other lubes and it's workin just dandy!

I had loaded some up in my 357 mag with 8gr of unique.

Off a rest at 25 yds I managed to get 6 into about 2" square, open sights that's the best I can do. I'm happy with it!

Bruce @ BRP was in the custom mold business - no longer doing it. Had Great Quality.
