[QUOTE=blademasterii;3249104]Does it still shoot like it did when you picked it up all shiney and new?[/QUOT

    Sure does just like my
    Luger made in 1913
Win 94 38-55 model 94 rifle 1903 G F the Texas Ranger dad and me.
Savage 99 in 22 hi power 1913 Cousin and me

I am sure that 0 can chase who all have owned the Luger or the 1911 before me but I have owned both of them for about 50 years.

Somethings just get better with age.

Thirty was roughly the age at which I had learned enough to be useful enough that people started paying me enough to live a comfortable life with a few toys.

My thirties were very, very good to me. I turned 40 last month. So far, they're not bad.

Happy birthday. I turned 36 very recently. 30 is nothing. The aches and pains started at 34. I don't see them going away ever. I agree about pay scale. My pay increased a lot when I hit my thirties. Trying to cash in as much as possible before I hit fifty and they start to see you as a liability. That one is trade specific.

Age ain't nothing but a number. I know I still think of myself as a young kid in a lot of ways. Especially when hanging out w/ long time friends.

30???? Are you children bragging or complaining? I've turned 30 twice, and almost half again.
My eldest aunt turned 100 two weeks ago, and she's still driving. 30 is just old enough to shave.
Happy Birthday to all you youngens. You'll get old soon enough.

If there's something you've been putting off till later, do it now before it gets impossible. Impossible slips up on you real sneaky like.

    Let's see...

30 was when I had to start carrying a pair of tweezers in the work truck for sudden nosehairs.

32 was when the ear hairs started.

Happy Birthday! I remember when I turned 30. My Father said: "The end of the twentys" I know what he meant now. That was 37 years ago.

Whippersnapper ! 30 is fine, after 50 is downhill, once you hit 65 you start payng the price for what you did to youself when you were 30ish !! Good luck with the next 30.

I'll be 73 in July. I still feel well enough to do just about anything that I want to do. Unlike some reported here I won't be fathering any more children. Two sons was enough.

At my age though, I can use old age to try to get out of doing anything I DON'T want to do.

Advice is free, and sometimes good.
    1) Work hard. If you already work hard, work harder.
    2) Save money when you can.
    3) Stay out of debt whenever possible.
    4) Find people that are smarter than you. Listen to them. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.
    5) play hard. Enjoy life.
    6) Eat meat, vegetables, and good bread.
    7) Go outside and play. Your parents were right, it is good for you.
Getting older is awesome. If you have worked hard, then you have more financial flexibility to play hard. I just turned 40 and am enjoying life immensely. I am by no means rich, but my bills are paid. I still like my job and barring major changes, it looks like this one will see me to retirement,,,,I hope......
