GS Customs Dillon Funnels - Not impressed

So I wanted M die style dillon funnels for 38 spl and 45 acp, I spent a few weeks try to get ahold of Jeff about custom funnels to no avail, then about a week ago he posted a G funnel on ebay that was supposed to be .453 at the step and .4505 at the expander, perfect for 45 acp. So I ordered it and put a not in with my order that I would also like a custom D funnel for 38 spl. Well he finally responded and I paid him for the custom funnel.

Well today I get the G funnel in the mail and it is .451 at the step and .449 in the expander body, or basically the same dimensions as the dillon funnel with the addition of the M die step, which doesn't help me since it is smaller than the boolits I am trying to seat.

Very Frustrating.

And yes, I did measure with a real micrometer and not with calipers.

He made me a pistol style funnel for 22 TCM and it works GREAT.
I even got a couple extra made and plan to use one on 22 hornet as well.

I'd be less concerned about getting it fixed if his willingness to communicate was less sporadic

Maybe try buckshot or one of the other fine metal workers here. I make my own expanders as needed, but metal lathes are good for that kind of thing.

Well after a few days of waiting to hear he has offered to make right and has assured me the measurements on my custom funnel are correct, which usps tracking says will be delivered tomorrow. His communication is clearly an issue but as long as he makes it right and produces a nice product I will be satisfied

I got a E funnel in the mail from G.S.Custom and it is .4508 at the step and .4485 in the expander body, or basically the same dimensions as the Dillon funnel with the addition of the M die step, which doesn't help me since it is smaller than the boolits I am trying to seat.

Bought this from G.S.Custom through E bay and contacted him, got a reply in about 2 hours stating he will send the correct size funnel.

He seems very willing to make this right.

I would have guessed with an expander built into the powder die for a .22 the hole the powder drops through would bridge powder all the time. What is the ID of the one he made for you?

IDK, I would have to look. I don't have issues with H110/W296 bridging.
I know that I don't trash cases anymore because the bullet (jacketed) crushes the case due to misalignment.

Well my custom D funnel came today and it is spot on at .360/.3565. He is also sending out another G funnel with a return label for the undersized one. I'm not thrilled at the extra time and hassle but as long as I ultimately get what I paid for I'll be happy.

Well I don't know what to say about this guy. I got my custom D funnel and it is great. But the G funnel still has not been replaced and he has once again stopped communicating. Yesterday was the 10th day since he had first said he would make it right, so I had eBay open a case. They said they are giving him 5 days to send me the correct item or they will take "action" on his account, which probably means they'll ding his paypal account for a refund to me and the cost of a return label.

I can't for the life of me understand why someone would choose to go into business then act like they don't want to do it. I'm sure this isn't his career. So if he doesn't want to deal with it by communicating with customers and standing behind his product then he should just stop doing it at all.

Well as of this morning eBay sent me a return label to send it back to the gs customs. Apparently he has also been unwilling to communicate with eBay customer service about sending me a replacement. It has been 25 days since I bought it and after 25 days of trying to get what I paid for the end result is that I am back where I started.
