    First powder you dropped?

    What was the first powder you guys dropped into any case? Mine was varget. Whether its shotgun, pistol, or rifle what was it!

    Unique in 20 ga. ( '78 ) then red dot in 12 , 4320 for the 30 06 in that order.
    Now I'm almost OUT OF CONTROL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Surplus 4895 in a .30-06 in 1962. $.50 per pound in a paper bag at the local sporting goods store. Rifle was a 1917 Enfield that I paid $19.99 plus shipping from S. Klein and sons in Chicago. Still have it.

    Mauser - go load bullets instead of seeing how many posts are run up
    BTW, I charge powder but the 1st powder I dropped, on the bench, was Goex FFFFg back in the 60's

    IMR 4895 back about 1967. I had ordered a 1917 30-06 enfield while i was in the navy and mom got the box and didn't tell dad as he probably would have had a stroke. All my reloading stuff back then would have fit in a 20mm ammo can. Frank

    I would go load bullets but im waiting for my 357 die set and im getting my ruger off background check tomorrow.
