    Question reguarding Goon's Gun Works

Has anyone here done business with Mike at Goon's Gun Works? Any info would be welcome.

Well there have been many on GunSlingers.com that have used him & say he does a great job.
I have never heard any bad about his work.

He's also mentioned a bit on THR. I've never heard anything but praise for his work.

I haven't used him (my boss is a gunsmith), but they like Mike on this website too.

I talked to him at some length just a couple of weeks ago . He seems very up front, honest and not afraid to tell you exactly what he can and can't fix and/or is willing to do or not do.
While my project was outside of his available means he was able to give me guidance that was mirrored by others in the trade.

Based on the conversation and other reports from folks I know I would send him whatever needed to be tuned.

My two 45LC's, a 3.5" El Patron, and a 4.75" open top, both had a similiar problem: they spit lead back into my face. The El Patron also had a nasty habit of the cylinder sticking while being rotatated to the next shot(even after having been serviced, twice, by a local gunsmith). I turned them over to Mike and now they work like a charm! No lead spitback, and they can be thumbslipped or fanned without having to worry about hurting them. Mike even blued the screws to purty them up! I would highly recommed him to anyone with a SAA that needs slicking up.

    Mike, welcome to the site.

I just looked over your web sight, really nice. I wish you had services to dove tail and install a new front sight for the '51s and '60's Colts! Sure would be a benefit to us guys who love these revolvers! I do my own, but I sure would like to have a "pro" handle the work!

Thanks Hickok! Glad to be here and thanks for stopping by the website! About the sites, well, I'm working on something you might like. If I ever get caught up to work on it.

I got my Dragoon with Mike, great guy. From my conversations with him, he knows his stuff. I hope to get it back next week or so, but I bet it will be done real well. I like talking with him, and I feel comfortable.
I am counting the days now.
My baby will come back home.
