Never been a fan of the mag tube loading. I prefer a sidegate ala marlin and browning. It is a nice looking lever, however.

Some of my favorite recipes start out with a handful of depleted counterbalance devices.
If they should actually do this it's gonna be painful for my wallet. Hopefully they'll put a full length barrel on it and do away with that "sorta" carbine barrel length. I'd also like to see an actual rifle stock instead of the pistol grip stock. A longer octagon barrel will increase the weight so as to contain the recoil a bit.
Its support to have the hardened brass frame. Wonder it it will be good for Marlin load data

Based on previous Henry offerings, with a full length octagonal barrel, you might be looking at 8-9 lbs.

I have both a Henry 30-30 (Brass with octagon barrel) and a Marlin 336. The Marlin is of course considerably lighter than the Henry and shooting cast boolits in the 1,700-1,800 fps range is no big deal. Step up to factory 150gr jacketed hunting ammo though and I appreciate the weight increase of the Henry.
I choose to pack the 9 pound Henry around whilst pursuing Bambi's relatives although the Marlin is lighter.
When I browsed the Henry website I noticed that the steel receivers seemed to be listed as lighter weight. I have the Henry 22 mag and it is quite handy. The Henry 30-30 is also listed as a bit lighter weight than the brass frame. As I have a Marlin 30-30 I see not need to get a Henry but contrary to what some claim the tube feed has an attraction for unloading that I like as one can just let them roll out instead of working the action. Sometimes wonder all the loading and unloading isn't what makes some of the older guns feel so smooth as they wear in.

When I'm at the range I breach load both the Henry and the Marlin so the magazine loading isn't an issue. When hunting I of course use the magazine but reloading isn't an issue.
