Does anyone sell this bullet commercially? (I'm still not casting my own, yet) I'd love to find a good RNFP to run in both my Blackhawk and Henry.

Got a new mould to me around Christmas a Lyman 410-459 DC. Finally cast some it is a Keith style that came out about 220 gr with my alloy. I then PC'd them and loaded over 5.5 gr of Unique in Starline 41 Spcl cases. Last weekend got a chance to shoot and chrono them from my BH 4-5/8 and the Henry rifle. From the BH average velocity was 740 fps and from the Henry 940 fps.

If you look over on GunBroker there are lots of commercial casters making nice bullets for .41...

New to this forum. Looking forward to hand loading cast boolits for my S&W Model 57 I bought in 1981. Have current order with Beartooth for 265 gr WLC GC hard cast. Not casting my own yet. I have been loading Grizzly 265 grainers when bear hunting here in North Idaho and for general protection when fishing in grizzly country.

Nice rig Dirtfarmer...how do you carry it?

I have two just like that...one 1964 and the other is a 70s vintage gun that was D&T for scope mounts. Whoever did the D&T was really thinking...he did not punch the holes all the way through the frame. So when the rear sight goes back on it is still prisitine...

Idaho is so beautiful... I got to spend a couple of months at a friend's cabin between Mackay and Challis in 2013 and 2014... Mount Bora was right across the street...

Hope to get out there again "soon"....

Bob, I shot my first mule deer as a teenager in 1971 between Mackay and Challis with an old Enfield 30-06 army surplus rifle. It's the one on the left of this photo. My Dad owned a fishing cabin in Mackay with Mount Bora "across the street". I live way north in Sandpoint, ID now, still beautiful placeClick image for larger version.

I am packing a .41 more & more when in bear country which most of our mountains is.
Usually stoked with a good 220 WFP over IMR4227.

I seem to have lost the thread killer forum. Can you tell me where it is?
    Thanks.

Gone. Cleaned up in an attempt to eliminate post padding and spurious posting for the sake of posting...
It wasn't the only thread that disappeared.
Post counts also dropped for a LOT of people!!

Thanks Bob, it's an older lightly pitted, reblued, with a new bbl. 4" 58. I like it it travels well with a set of the old style "magna" stocks. It's been around the horn, but then so have I!

That would be fun. I've got an OLD set of wood stocks, my favorite kind, not S&W that I've drilled holes in the bottom the part that covers the frame on the bottom. I'm going to fix a lanyard to the holes around the frame for fishing. It's a favored six-gun though shows some neglect in the past. I've gotten seveal of our small ground squirrels with it. That was thorough.
