Saw this way late. If there is a .359 six cavity (or the brass four cavity), I'd like to have one: wayne dot dobbs at yahoo dot com

Finally I had the chance to cast some samples of this bullet and do some shooting tests this past weekend.

I used wheelweight alloy and I tested the bullets in a late K38 (38 Special) and a S&W686-1 (357 mag).

Groups were shot from a rest off the bench at 25 metres (27 yards).

Exstensive tests will shown the best loads, but from my personal initial tests using Vuitavuori N340 it seems that this bullet is able to give good results.

On the first target of five shots, unfortunately the fifth shot was a complete flyer. Otherwise all the shots are able to cover the center ring of the 50 metres European pistol target, with a diameter of just less of 1 inch (25 mm).

Received my mold today and it is as beautiful as all of the other brass molds I have received. A work of art. I can't wait to cast and fire them.

alb87, that's a fine looking batch of boolits. I can't wait to try mine. I'm hoping they're still flying true at 50 yards.

Mine arrived yesterday and looks awesome.

This was my first time in an actual group buy (I've bought other molds from Miha) and I'm very impressed with how smoothly it went.

    Thank you, Miha & DeCarli!

I got mine yesterday also. I really like the sprue cam lever Mihec has added to his molds. I cast up around a hundred bullets. I was using range scrap with a little tin added. I preheated the mold on a hotplate. Really didn't let it heat up enough, but, once I started casting and got it up to temp when you opened the mold just a shake would drop the bullets. The bhn on my alloy runs from 10 to 12. The workmanship on the mold is impeccable.
Boolits !!!!! Does that mean what I think it do? It do!

Yes, this one went 'very' smoothly. Even my local post office managed to deliver the mold without incident which is a rarity around here... And I was surprised how quickly it arrived.

    alb87:

Your DeCarli .358-148 Wad Cutter was a great success !

    How about 0.431" & 0.454" equivalents ?

    Best Regards,

That's a nice piece of machining. I'm going to have to see what other group buys Miha has open.

    Dear Jerry,

These equivalents are already on work.
I'm currently designing them, including a version for the 41 mag, and I have an idea for few lighter versions for those revolvers chambered for 9mm, 40s&w/10 auto and 45 acp.

I want to do more tests on the 357 version and by the end of the summer I think I'll open few discussion and GBs.

    Happy shooting

    Alberto
