    Dyslexia Here Isn't Good...

I posted some time ago concerning 5010-PD and WC-860 on this forum…

I thought I might just make another post to maybe let people see how easily mistakes can be made—although, I am certain most on this site know of the dangers of powders that have dang nearly the same name…

    I remarked my WC-860 & WC-680 so they are vividly obvious…

A mistake made from 860 data and using 680 most likely would be “not so good!”…

    Good-luck…BCB

Good to know! What's the WC680 like? Accurate 1680?

    Yep...

You start with AA1680 or Winchester 680 data...

I really haven't used much of it though. Some in the 357 Magnum with 358429's and some in the 445 SM with various cast boolits...

I was just reading in a Handloader magazine last night on why they don't show much data using SR-4756 and SR-4759. Pretty much a similar reason of mixing up the 6 and 9.

Reminds me of the people buying Titewad when looking for Titegroup. The bottles even look similar.

I think I might go so far as to label them "eight sixty" and "six eighty"

Yeah, I'm not sure why Hodgdon uses the money background for TiteGroup. I understand using it for Titewad. It is confusing.....The Clays powders were also that way.

Might even want to write the cartridge/cartridges (on the bottle) in which the powder is going to be used.

This is exactly what I would do,,,,,
More "This is what happened when I,,,,," and less "What would happen if I,,,,"

On thing you can do is color code you homemade labeling.
Use blue color masking tape for slower powders for rifles
use Green color masking tape for faster powder for pistols
use Tan color tape for intermediate.

Or the color of the marker -
