Was out and about today taking care of some buisness and stopped into the Local Gun Store to see what was there. Last Novemner my second grandson was born and Ive been looking. The First grandson I found a very clean Stevens Favorite single shot falling block in 22 rimfire for his first rifle. Today looking over the rack seeing if there was anything there I need were 2 remington "Baby" rolling blocks one in .22 rimfire and one in 32 rimfire I believe. Not anything real fancy as to wood but good clean rifles with alot of finish left and the patina as it should be. A look into the bore of the 22 showed clean crisp rifling a good chamber with no rings or issues. It came home with me for the second grandsons first rifle. Am going to work some oil into the metal and stock wax into the wood shortly to clean up and see what it looks like. A fine old single shot for his first rifle.
