    How to keep the point

Here is one I haven't figured out yet. When sizing 311334's in the star how do I keep from flattening out the point on the end of the boolit. I have not tried really hard bhn alloy yet but have up to around 18-20 bhn. Do I need to just use the old 45 luber and suck it up? If using the 45 I do not own a 334 top punch so would need to epoxy one up.
Anyone figure out a way around this?
    Thanks, lab

You could use a short wooden dowel, maybe 1.5" long or so, to push the bullet through instead of depending on the following bullet to do it.

I've used the short threaded rod that comes w/ the Star to do that, but for a lot of bullets I'd want a rod that was non-marring to the die.

Top punches are easily modified for different bullet nose profiles and to preclude the bullet nose being buggered
Fill the punch cavity with hot glue - spit on the bullet nose - rub the nose into the cavity - trim excess glue - Instant New Top Punch

Mongoose has it. That's what I'd suggest.

Or take a boolit of smaller diameter and use it to push thru your pointy nose first.

Simple and easy; just use a Lee push through sizer.
