    Bullseye for fire forming ?

Was given some Bullseye powder and was wondering about using it for fire forming 43 Spanish Brass in a Rolling Block. Would it work under the COW like Unique , Greendot, etc.? I have been using 11 gr of Unique with COW and plug the last bit of neck with tissue.

Yes bullseye will work fine but cut the charge in half.

Use grass seed for filler rather than COW and overseed the range while you form.

I used Bullseye to fireform 35 Whelen to 35 Whelen Imp. I used 5.0 gr, and filled the case with packed corn meal up to the neck, along with a wad of toilet paper on top the keep it all in. I fired the cases into a stack of newspapers in the basement. I found it necessiary to clean out the chamber every few rounds, as it got pretty cruddy with the corn meal residue.

Initially, I tried using cast bullet loads to accomplish this, but it took several firings to get the shoulder square, and completely filled out. One shot with Bullseye using the corn meal, achieved a perfect result in one try.

Double your pleasure: 5gr Bullseye & a crimped round ball. Of course, if done inside gun room or basement -skip the RB

Making 43 Spanish Brass from some of the Mag type brass. Don't think I could expand necks enough for a .440 RB.
