    New 1894c's?

Is Marlin actually making any? I've seen 336's and 1894's in 44 mag, but haven't seen any in 357. I'm asking because I ordered one from a local shop over a year ago, and every time I ask about I get the same Remington is having a hard time getting them up and running after the move line.

I was told by the Remington/Marlin rep at the SHOT Show in January to look for them in late summer. They're also working on the .45 Colt CB, with 20" barrel. The one I had in my hand at the show was pretty nice.

    Hope this helps.

That at least gives me somewhat of a timeline as opposed to what I was getting from the shop. Thank you.

Supposedly production was to switch over to the Cs at the end of last year. I have one of the last ones they made before they stopped production. Not a thing wrong w/ it

I called Marlin a few weeks ago to ask about the 1894 in 45 Colt. The nice young lady told me that production was scheduled for April and that rifles should start showing up soon after that.

I am thinking about calling again soon for an update.

Ballard, they switched back to it years ago. I'm talking well before Remington acquired them.

Gander Mountain in Mobile, Alabama had a pair in 357. The stocks were not fit very well and both had canted sights. At least it looks like they are starting to show up again though.

Arrgh, if they can make sub-MOA Remington 700's no problem why can't they screw a lever action barrel on straight?? Winchester was the same way before the New Haven plant bit the dust.

Let's hope they are not using monkeys to make them ...........

    My apologies to the monkeys!

I am blessed with a new to me waffle top in .35 and my bought new in '80 Marlin in .357 ........ I wish I had a .44 mag and am also lusting for a .45-70 in the brand ........ but am not holding my breath on the current crop .........

In my neck of the woods there have been a lot of issues with the Remington 700s of new production ........... it's enough to make a grown man want to eat 2X4's and deposit tooth picks!

    Three 44s

I fondled a 94 in 43 Mag Sunday, if the 94C is as good as this rifle I'll buy one.
