Yes I have shot the money bullets using a soft alloy. In my case I used my .45-2.4 with a 525 gr MB cast with 1/25 T/L alloy and they shot quite well. But looking at those sleek nosed MB shot with 16 less grains of 2F KIK they got set back looking like a Postell. A postell shoots about as good as anything out there as long as the nose gets set back straight. 102 gr using a 1/40 T/L and I have some records if they survived shot in the 2.4 that did not look good. If the bullet gets a straight nose setback they will hit the mark, but they will loose their BC.
