    speed vs hardness

I'm shooting a PB made with WW at 1600fps. If I go faster the groups open up. If I go to Lino or heat treat the WW will I be able to go faster and if so how much?

Won't know until you try it, Will. It is a factor of all the variables we have been talking about for quite some time. ... felix

Felix is right, test it. At the very least you'll be adding to the education of Will. That's always a good thing.

You didn't say what your shooting but regarless you'll find boolit fit more important as long as your not shooting putty or diamonds. Have you slugged the bore and what are you sizing to? Freebore jump? Lube? In addition to the bore the chamber and throat could play a role here as well. This is the long version of "shoot it and see".

You are also forgetting boolit length to twist rate. Maybe the boolit is wrong for the velocity.
