    Question .414 SuperMag reamer rental

As you can see from the tagline, ain't got a lick of sense...

After checking out a few good reamer places, I have a healthy respect for a good chunk of cold steel. But I need to jam this into a barrel...

Can a .41 Rem Mag be extended into a .414 SuperMag with a standard .41 Rem mag reamer (made with a square shank)? Otherwise, futz up a tap wrench or deep socket wrench to drive the reamer?

Nowdays, think of the shipping and insurance BOTH ways in addition to the rechambering. Good chunk of money.

The 41 mag reamer also cuts the recess for the cartridge rim so while it can be driven in farther, it will destroy the barrel. It does cost a bit to rent the 414 reamer but it is still less than the cost of having a gunsmith ream it.
What gun are you considering reaming?

If someone listed a 414 reamer, I'd have taken them up.

Simply punch out a 41 Mag to 414.

could you not just grind off the rim cutting flutes?

or use an appropriate sized chucking reamer? then throat it if needed?
