    170gr 30-06 cast velocity?

I don't have a crony and want to know the velocity of a 170gr fngc cast bullet with 23gr of 2400 powder? Went to the range today and this load shot great, clover leaf at 100yrds. I figure I try my luck and shoot my last 3 rounds at the 200yrd target. I didn't hit the paper plate. Just curious of how far the bullet dropped.

    Lyman 48th says #311041 (173 gr. FN GC) min 20 gr 2400 @ 1751 fps, max 27 gr 2400 @ 2141 fps.
    Drop? Dunno. Maybe 12"-15".

For a Lyman #311041 with a B.C. of .220 velocity of 1,900 fps. Bullet drop from the muzzle at 100 yards is listed at -5.22". At 150 yards -12.54", at 200 yards -23.74". With bullet POI set at 100 yards to zero. Drop at 200 yards is -12.54".

I should of credited it. The chart's in the back pages of Lyman's 3rd edition cast bullet manual. Copy write 1980.
All the Lyman modern books have the BC listed for there bullets. New book is the 4th edition just out a few years ago.
